About Us

Superonline, whose mission was to take Turkey into the Age of Internet, was established in 1995. Its most important aim was to become the most preferred Internet and data communications service provider. Superonline, which is one of the first Internet investments of Çukurova Group, supplies services both for individual and corporate users.

The technological innovations that Superonline has brought in Turkey since the day it was established are not limited to the following:

• In 1997 Superonline introduced the ‘SuperStart’, the first Internet Access Bundle, to the consumer.
• In 1997, it started the first web News Portal; ‘NetHaber’.
• In 1998 it started the first e-commerce web site: ‘Superonline Shopping’.
• In 1999, introducing the first music web-site, Superonline has given rise to its value-added services.
• In 2000 Superonline was awarded ‘The Best Internet Service Provider of Europe’ and ‘The Best Internet Service Provider in Developing Countries’ and in a short time it has developed itself as to be one of the leading Internet Service Provider (ISP).
• In 2001 it has begun to have operations in corporate market and corporate sales department focused not only on the needs of the small- and medium-sized enterprises but also on the large corporations. The services provided to these large corporations are not limited to: Internet Access (lease-line, mobile and via satellite), long-distance calling (via lease- line and PSTN) and VAS products (co-location, security and e-mail). The same year, the annual income from corporate services has reached to $15 millions.
• In 2002, “Superoffice”, which was designed so as to meet the basic Internet needs of small- and medium sized enterprises, was introduced to the market. With the corporate services that are in accordance with the vision of providing network service, it has begun to solve the problems of corporations. Since the year 1996 with its continuous service that has been provided in over 250 locations, Superonline was awarded the right to have the certificate of ‘Authority in Operating Satellite Telecommunication Services’ and starting the period of Internet with satellite speed, Superonline introduced ‘Skyrunner Broadband Internet Access’ to the market.
• In 2003 as part of the ‘Project of ADSL Sites’ Superonline started to provide continuous and uninterrupted broadband Internet access to the mass housing and sites. And with the ‘Superonline Turbo Internet Package’ it began to provide Internet, which was 5 times faster than dial-up access.
• In late 2004, Superonline was leading the market with a 40% share. The number of its subscribers was 271.197.
• In 2005 Superonline reached the widest individual and corporate customer base just behind Türk Telekom.

The responsibility to fill the digital gap in Turkey and in parallel with the mission of becoming ‘New Generation Communication Operator’, Superonline has been the first company that took the license of ‘Long Distance Telephone Services’ (LDTS) soon after the end of monopoly on ‘voice’ in 2004.

• In 2006 Superonline, becoming the widest national ‘private’ IP framework, established a new Voice-Over IP (Voip) network interconnected to Türk Telekom and worldwide leading Telco Operators. It also began to provide wholesale call termination service in Turkey and by the end of December 2006 the total amount of annual termination sales reached to $4 millions.

Superonline’s corporate market basic principle has always been to provide “solutions” based upon a model of netsourcing, IP telephony, hosted PBX, long-distance telephone services, corporate data communications, Internet transporting, hosting and co-location, security, consultation, on wired or wireless IP and TDM platforms.

Besides the small- and medium sized enterprises (SME), individual users are also provided with many products and services by Superonline. Among them, mobile phone cards, cards for long-distance dialing, soft-phone applications, Callshops, ADSL, mobile and dialing network services, VAS products (such as hosting, fax to e-mail) can be counted. Towards the end of December 2006 the total amount of individual and SME sales has reached to $22.2 millions.

Superonline would like to provide value-added Broadband VoIP services (such as Video-on Demand, Distance-Supervision, allocation of virtual phone number, free Telephone Groups and Mobile VoIP access) in parallel with the expansion of DSL in consumer Internet access market, development of WiMax, as well as increasing band width accessibility.

Through the powerful web-portal of Superonline, by the end of December 2006 the period incomes of ‘Portal Advertising’ has reached an amount of $2.6 millions and it has been the leader of Turkey’s ‘portal advertising’ market.

After signing ‘Local Loop Unbundling’ (LLU) agreement with Türk Telekom, Superonline has found the opportunity of installing its own equipment inside the Telekom Switches and accessing the telephone lines of the end-user directly: “Last-Mile”. This would gave Superonline the chance to provide more economic and qualitative value added broadband solutions direclt to the consumer.

After having the licence of ‘Fixed Telephony Services’ which is planned to be given in Q4 2007, Superonline will also begin to provide local call service and it will also be able to provide total ‘voice’ services either via TDM or via IP technologies.

Through the innovations that has been maintained in 2007, Superonline is on its way to become the leading New Generation Telecommunication Operator. The service of BabyCam/SuperCam is a technology, which gives the possibility to watch the workplaces or houses through the installed wired or wireless cameras. The service of SuperTalk is a technology, through which the Supertalk users will be able to talk with each other free-of-charge or to make their local, long-distance, international as well as gsm calls for a much more lower charge. Moreover Superonline has triggered a new period for the first time in Turkey by introducing the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) service to the consumer, which has already been started in USA and Europe.

Superonline is currently waiting for the WiMax licence that is going to be given in the first half of 2008. By this licence Superonline will be able to provide ‘Triple-Play’ services without being dependent on the infrastructure of Türk Telekom and this will be a very important development towards the mission of ‘New Generation Communications Operator’.

Superonline has been providing high profiled Service Level Agreements to the companies with its professional technical department and high-quality management teams. With 130 high-motivated, creative, dynamic and young employees, with the specialization of the management team and with its brand recognition, Superonline has become the leader in the individual and corporate markets of its field.

Superonline is also preferred beyond the borders of Turkey: An Internet portal for the Turkish people living in Germany has been developed, an Internet service supplier called ‘AzerOnline’ has been established in cooperation with the Azerbeijani partners, and in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus ‘KıbrısOnline’ has begun its operation under the trademark of Superonline.

Superonline believes in its corporate and social responsibility and has involved in various social projects in Turkey. Its main focus has been to sponsor the education and skill-development programmes that are to be carried on in the schools with insufficient conditions by utilizing the most innovative competency building programs available.

For the future plans, Superonline has been equipped with institutional forces that will allow to catch the endless opportunities in the market of Internet and Telecommunications.
